Derek Howe
Chief Executive Officer, Director in the USA
A successful business entrepreneur who has served as an executive with internet, medical product, and nutraceutical companies. Secured capital from multiple investment sources to fund start-up and early-stage companies, which were sold to major corporations. Recipient of a bachelor’s degree in business, graduating with honors, and is a recipient of a CPA (currently inactive). Assumed the leadership role in Cornerstone Ministry and has raised and distributed funds for projects in the Philippines and in other countries.
Leon Ylagan, PhD.
President of Filipino Operations
A faithful worker who has organized the resources for building homes for widows and orphans, schools, and churches in the Philippines. His leadership and support have been essential for the work of Cornerstone Ministries in his country. He holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Agriculture. He has been a successful University Professor, a Pastor, and a mentor to many individuals in his circle of influence.
Karen Daniels
Karen Daniels has a strong leadership background with over 19 years of experience in global surgery and health program development. Karen has served in several managerial capacities with Samaritans' Purse International Relief, where she is currently Program Manager for the company’s Cleft and Cataract surgical initiatives in underserved countries. Karen has dedicated her life to helping those in the mission field who need her skills and experience, along with the skills and experiences of the medical teams she manages. She is a devout Christian with a compassionate heart to help improve the quality of life for those in need of medical treatment, while at the same time, working to improve surgical health programs in underserved countries.
Atty. Maynard Ylagan
Corporate Counsel of the Philippines
Maynard is a lawyer specializing in corporate affairs, where he has served as counsel to various corporations in the Philippines. His experience as the head of the legal department of a corporation in the Philippines balances his legal expertise with his knowledge of business management. Maynard will work with Cornerstone as both a legal advisor and a board member to ensure that the projects planned for development meet all the legal and licensing requirements of local, regional, and national government laws. In addition to his legal work, he serves as a musician and a strong supporter of his local church.
Our Team
Logan Parker
Strong foundation in financial services and accounting. Proven skills in financial analysis and pricing models relevant to sustainable non-profit financial planning. Bachelor’s degree in financial management and business, and experience as a financial planner for a multinational financial services company that operates in over 35 countries. Successful multi-sport athlete receiving an All-American Award as a collegiate baseball pitcher.

Mirasol Sagragao
Mirasol is an experienced educator and community leader with a strong background in mathematics education and school administration. She holds a bachelor's in mathematics education and has completed the requirements for a master’s degree in both education and mathematics. Her dedication to educating students and her experience in developing educational strategies for the school of her employment make her an invaluable asset to the educational initiatives of Cornerstone Ministries. Her balanced life as an educator, wife, mother, and church leader reflects a deep commitment to service, growth and community impact.

Leonor Rocamora
Leonor brings a strong academic and professional foundation to her entrepreneurial ventures. Following her formal education with a bachelor's degree in agriculture and economics and a Master of Science degree in agriculture education, she has demonstrated successful experience as an educator, staff member of a large corporation, and a leadership role in community service. She has launched and managed a startup business and has successful experience in event planning, customer relations, and business execution.

Mackella Parker
An accomplished graphic and visual arts designer with proven experience in branding, design, animation, and campaign marketing. Professional management experience with major U. S. corporations after receiving a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and visual arts. Recipient of major awards for excellence in her field from the American Advertising Award Organization.

Department of Justice in the Philippines
The Inter-Agency Council of this Department is chartered with the prevention, conviction, and rehabilitation of victims of human trafficking. The Philippine Government estimates that there are over 859,000 migrants, children, and women who are exploited.

United States Embassy in the Philippines
The Embassy in the Philippines supports organizations in this country by assisting organizations that are housing victims of human trafficking. The Embassy provides educational programs aimed at preventing human trafficking, as well as food, temporary shelter, and other assistance to victims of trafficking.

This organization has established a presence in many countries throughout the world, providing rescue services, self-defense skills, educational programs, and victim care to victims of human traicking. Where it is possible, ACT works to reunite victims with their families.

Churches and Schools
Since 1976, Cornerstone has helped build churches and schools in the Philippines. The company will continue to work with both existing and new churches and schools it plans to help construct to provide needed services to widows, orphans, and victims of trafficking.

Local Pastors
Pastors who have worked with Cornerstone over the past several years have been an invaluable resource in helping to secure land and have organized the construction of refugee centers, churches, and schools. These same pastors have identified the occupants of the refugee centers and have provided social and spiritual guidance to the women and children in the centers. Cornerstone will expand the number of Pastors in selected regions in the Philippines.

Local Parishioners
Members of local churches have been instrumental in helping to support widows and orphans in various locations where refugee centers, schools, and churches have been constructed. As Cornerstone expands its presence in the Philippines, additional parishioners will be added as support resources.
