Derek Howe
Chief Executive Officer,
Director in the USA
Derek is a successful entrepreneur and executive with experience in internet, medical product, and nutraceutical companies. He has secured investment capital for start-up and early-stage ventures that were later acquired by major corporations. A business graduate with honors and a CPA (inactive), he now leads Cornerstone Ministry, raising and distributing funds for projects in the Philippines and other countries.
Leon Ylagan, PhD.
President of Filipino Operations
Leon is a faithful worker who has organized the resources for building homes for widows and orphans, schools, and churches in the Philippines. His leadership and support have been essential for the work of Cornerstone Ministries in his country. He holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Agriculture. He has been a successful University Professor, a Pastor, and a mentor to many individuals in his circle of influence.
Karen Daniels
Director in the USA
Karen is a global health and surgery program leader with over 19 years of experience managing surgical initiatives in underserved countries. She currently serves as Program Manager for Cleft and Cataract programs with Samaritan’s Purse International Relief. A trained nurse with specialized emergency and perioperative experience, Karen is driven by her Christian faith to strengthen surgical care and improve quality of life for vulnerable communities worldwide.
Atty. Maynard Ylagan
Corporate Counsel of the Philippines
Maynard is is a corporate lawyer with extensive experience advising and leading legal departments for corporations in the Philippines. He brings a strong blend of legal and business expertise and serves Cornerstone as both a legal advisor and board member, ensuring full compliance with local, regional, and national regulations. Beyond his legal work, Maynard is a musician and an active supporter of his local church.
Tim Anderson
Director in the USA
Tim is a senior biotechnology executive with over 25 years of experience in marketing, product management, and global supply chain leadership at companies including Illumina and Cellanome, where he currently builds a global supply chain organization. He also serves as an Elder Board Member of Flood Church International Ministry, is a graduate of Westmont College, and is committed to using his experience to advance the mission of Cornerstone Ministries.

Logan Parker
Logan is a finance and accounting professional with a strong background in financial analysis and pricing models for sustainable non-profit planning. He holds a bachelor’s degree in financial management and business and has experience as a financial planner for a multinational financial services firm operating in over 35 countries. He is also a former multi-sport athlete and collegiate All-American baseball pitcher.

Mirasol Sagragao
Mirasol is an experienced educator and community leader with a strong background in mathematics education and school administration. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education and has completed master’s-level coursework in education and mathematics. Her passion for teaching, strategic school leadership experience, and commitment to service make her a valuable contributor to Cornerstone Ministries’ educational initiatives.

Leonor Rocamora
Director of Business Development

Leonor brings a strong academic and professional foundation to her entrepreneurial work. She holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and economics and a master’s degree in agriculture education, with experience as an educator, corporate staff member, and community leader. She has also launched and managed a startup business, with strengths in event planning, customer relations, and business execution.
Mackella Parker
Mackella is an accomplished graphic and visual arts designer with experience in branding, animation, and campaign marketing. She holds a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and visual arts and has professional management experience with major U.S. corporations. Her work has earned major industry recognition, including awards from the American Advertising Awards.

Kailyn Howe
Kailyn Howe is an operations leader dedicated to service, stewardship, and integrity. She holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science from California Baptist University and currently manages Columbus Dentures and Implants, leading with excellence and compassion. With experience across healthcare, fitness, retail, and public service, Kailyn is passionate about strengthening teams and serving mission-driven communities to make a meaningful, Christ-centered impact.

Department of Justice in the Philippines
The Inter-Agency Council of this Department is chartered with the prevention, conviction, and rehabilitation of victims of human trafficking. The Philippine Government estimates that there are over 859,000 migrants, children, and women who are exploited.

United States Embassy in the Philippines
The Embassy in the Philippines supports organizations in this country by assisting organizations that are housing victims of human trafficking. The Embassy provides educational programs aimed at preventing human trafficking, as well as food, temporary shelter, and other assistance to victims of trafficking.

This foundation has been accredited by the Philippine Government and provides community-based programs and services for women and children in difficult situations, including those who have been trafficked.

This organization has established a presence in many countries throughout the world, providing rescue services, self-defense skills, educational programs, and victim care to victims of human traicking. Where it is possible, ACT works to reunite victims with their families.

Churches and Schools
Since 1976, Cornerstone has helped build churches and schools in the Philippines. The company will continue to work with both existing and new churches and schools it plans to help construct to provide needed services to widows, orphans, and victims of trafficking.

Local Pastors
Pastors who have worked with Cornerstone over the past several years have been an invaluable resource in helping to secure land and have organized the construction of refugee centers, churches, and schools. These same pastors have identified the occupants of the refugee centers and have provided social and spiritual guidance to the women and children in the centers. Cornerstone will expand the number of Pastors in selected regions in the Philippines.

Local Parishioners
Members of local churches have been instrumental in helping to support widows and orphans in various locations where refugee centers, schools, and churches have been constructed. As Cornerstone expands its presence in the Philippines, additional parishioners will be added as support resources.
